YOUR INFORMATION. YOUR CHOICE.

Candidate privacy.

CV preparation

Basic PDF and DOCX parsing runs in your browser. Optional AI extraction and answer drafting sends the CV text you approve to Vercel AI Gateway and OpenAI. Their processing and retention policies apply. AI suggestions are shown for review; they do not authorize an application.

Your account and CV

Candidate accounts store your login details, editable profile, visibility settings, and application history in a private database. Passwords are hashed by Better Auth. Saving the original CV requires separate consent; it is stored in private Vercel Blob. Your browser receives an HTTP-only account session cookie, valid for up to 30 days and refreshed during use. Profile and CV storage do not expire when this cookie expires.

Applying to employers

When you approve selected applications, we process your CV and exact reviewed answers in temporary, isolated Vercel browser sessions to complete supported employer forms. The selected employer may receive information as fields are filled, before the final Submit click. The employer’s privacy policy applies to information it receives. Approved answers remain in our private application queue until each attempt ends, then are removed from that queue. Reusable non-sensitive answers are saved separately only if you choose to remember them. Application status records are kept to show progress and prevent duplicates.

Profile visibility

New profiles are private. Employer discovery requires your explicit consent and is restricted to manually approved employer accounts. Public profiles are accessible to anyone with their link; search indexing is a separate opt-in. Public and employer-facing profiles omit the application email, phone number and original CV. Information you write in descriptions and links is displayed as entered, so review it before publishing. Public information can be copied or cached outside our control.

Retention and deletion

Your account profile, saved answers, original stored CV and application history remain until you delete them. You can delete the CV separately or delete your account from My profile. Account deletion requires a recent sign-in and is paused while an application is running. It removes the stored CV and account records, including profile, sessions, saved answers and application history. It cannot recall an application already sent to an employer or immediately remove search-engine caches. We do not currently promise an automatic inactivity deletion period.

Optional browser storage

The older CV assistant can remember profile details in localStorage and an original CV in IndexedDB on your device, only when selected. Clear those using its browser-data controls. Downloaded files and the optional desktop helper’s separate storage must be removed separately.
